It all started way back in the 1950’s when our parents settled in Upstate New York for the wonderful orchards of the Hudson Valley. Our parents favorite fruit was peaches, and since peaches are in season late in the summer, our parents always used the Saturday of the Miss American Pageant as the evening to make the jam.
